Health and safety
afhconsutling believes that all staff and associate
colleagues have the right to work in a safe environment and
the responsibility to ensure that all clients, stakeholders
and consultees engage with us in a safe and appropriate
manner. As an organisation with fewer than five employees
we are not obliged to develop a policy however the
following guidelines are, we believe, helpful.
Day to day workload management – at your desk
We understand the pressure of getting the job done, but
regular breaks away from work stations are important –
please don’t skip your lunch break, it’s important that you
are refreshed and focussed in the afternoon. Also please
take ten minutes time out every hour or so to do something
different
On visits
You should diary out all meetings in our engagement log –
we need to know who you are with and when we should expect
you back. Always observe H&S requirements on visits.
Booking venues
afhconsulting will only book venues that are safe and
accessible: if you have any concerns about a venue let us
know.
When presenting at a venue
Always request and give the full H&S briefing to all
participants at the beginning of an event and have sheets
with the instructions available for late-comers.
